Welcome to the official website of SOS Radio.

As we celebrate our first decade of existence, it is our pleasure to share our station with you. When SOS Radio joined the air waves on 95.9 FM, on January 18, 2009, it was a longtime dream accomplished for Jacques “Billy D” Hamlet, managing director of the nation’s leading radio station.

Hamlet, whose radio career started in the early 1980s in Guadeloupe as a high school student, had always dreamt about owning his own radio station. In 2009, the energetic entrepreneur combined his skills and experiences and established a team of young men and women.

Together they launched an impactful radio station in the St. Martin community. Known for its motto “Home of the family radio station,” SOS Radio has over 17000 family card subscribers and millions of online followers. Now that you have logged on to our site, we would like to thank you for connecting.

We invite you to join the SOS Radio family, where we feature over 20 talk and musical programs. In this age of technology, where information is at the end of everyone’s finger tips, it is important that radio be a well-balanced source of credible and accurate information as well as enjoyable entertainment.

Between these two audio worlds SOS Radio has an interesting, daily line-up of programs for you. We begin each day with our early morning devotional program at 5:30am, followed by our news and weather reports.

SOS Radio is the home of various talk shows, such as Conversations, Talking Point, Let’s Talk About It, Online, Question of the Day, Knowing Who You Are Through the Bible, Strictly Business, and Conscious Lyrics Radio Magazine. Our musical lineup includes a large variety of Caribbean, American and European genres including Soca, Reggae, Dance Hall, Calypso, Zouk, Kompa, Hip Hop, RNB, Soul, Merengue, Bachata and Salsa.

SOS Radio is the home of the annual St. Martin book fair event where we put emphasis on the promotion of St. Martin literature.
Other annual programs include, The Black History Celebration in February, St. Martin Carnival specials where we promote the festive culture of the nation, the ten hour St. Martin Day program on November 11, which is one of our principal events, and the annual Christmas party and open house; our way of saying thank you to our listeners and supporters.

Over the past 10 years SOS Radio has grown closer to the St. Martin community and for this reason in 2015, we have adopted a new jingle, “SOS Radio, closer to you.”

Thank you for joining us on SOS Radio 95.9FM.
